RETROSPECTIVE FOR THE END OF TIME
Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, The UJazdowski Castle, 1998

Two Exhibitions was the title of Robert Szczerbowski's fictional retrospective from 1998. The subtitle, "A Retrospective at the End of Time," concealed the mystification that most of the works included in this project had never been publicly presented before. This project consisted of two exhibitions that coexisted synchronously and maintained a dynamic, mutual relationship. Although they were full of references to the external world of contemporary times, at their core they unfolded on the plane of what is internal to humanity, in the space of mind and spirit. Their contemporary aspect, however, lay in the fact that they operated primarily in the language of today's high-tech.
